I took this picture at a friends house. I am always so captivated by flowers. They look so delicate, but hold up under such diverse weather conditions. I want to be like this flower...a Gerber Daisey. Bright, colorful, full of life and fragrance. I want to have a strong stem of faith in Christ and delicate petals that are worth taking the time to look at and enjoy. Basking in the warm bright sun. Or in this case the Son...of God. With his grace I pray that I will live for the season I have been placed.

I do it for you!

I returned to my part time job tonight. I am beat. I have been off work for 3 months because of an injury to my achillies tendon. By the way, I don't recommend tearing it, it is painful and slow healing and you don't want to get me started about the cost. ;)

So, why on top of all I do am I working? To keep my husband from taking on any more than he has to right now and for my children. I am like most who work...I hate getting up to go do it, but once I am there I just keep pushing to get that jobs I have finished so I can get home again.

I am blessed though, as I have a chance through my job to meet lots of young people. What an eye opening time I have had as I get to "see" into their lives and their minds.

Tonight I shared the story of the Little Red Hen with one young lady. She had NEVER heard of it! *Gasping!* lol
I thought everyone knew that story. So it was nice to talk to her about how we need to work and by working we are able to eat. (2 Thess. 2:10)
I told her that the Bible teaches us to love work and we should always do our best. (Ecc. 9:10)
Now she understands that I don't like work, but I do like a job well done. One I can be proud of. I hope as time goes on that I can talk to her more about not only a job to be proud of, but a life to be proud of. I know all in good time and with dishes and orders we are limited at work.

I love my job and the people I work with. I am blessed with a husband who provides our main income and left me the choice to work. I do it for you, my dear family. ♥

Cleaning the House

I try to find ways to shorten the time I spend cleaning. Today I feel like just scooping things up and tossing them in the dump... A fresh start seems so lovely when I am overwhelmed. Like most moms I know after cleaning something it isn't long before it is messy or dirty again. So, speaking of that, I have been wondering if clutter is worst than dirt or visa versa? I tend to see dirty and clutter only bothers me sometimes. My husband is the opposite. He can tidy a room and comfortable. I can leave the toys and unfolded laundry basket sit and dust the whole room which makes me feel better. He always teases me that the dishes might be sitting from breakfast in the sink, but the oven is shiney and clean! LOL I guess that is why we get along so much, between our own preferences the house is better for it. I must add that this has been a long standing trouble area in our marriage...priorites are definately a stress factor when they are so different. Thank God for "better or worst!"

Trying something new...

Well, I have decided to enter the world of blogging. I figured it was one place I can get my thoughts out and maybe it will help clear my brain. My mind goes 24/7, so no matter what this will only be bits and pieces of what goes through my head. I have others telling me all the time to write a book...well, one day maybe some of my mutterings and ideas will make it into print, but we will see. ;-)
